About the Michelangelo International Wine Awards:

Founded in 1997 as South Africa's only international wine competition, local producers have the opportunity to get their wines judges by an entirely international panel of wine judges, with only one South African judge on thepanel. In 2008 a total of 16 judges from Europe, Canada, Australia and Asia were invited to Stellenbosch to judge the 13 entries. According to the international rules of the OIV to which the MIWA adheres, only 30% of all entries are awarded medals - silver, gold and Grand d’Or medals, including eight trophies (no bronze is awarded).

Therefore the wines in this case are true champions, selected by judges of international standing as being top in their indivudual classes. Congratulations on your purchase!
